Thanks for the question! Yes! In fact, it's even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit our office regularly. When you're wearing braces, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush normally can't reach. This causes bacteria to build up and can lead to cavities, gingivitis and even gum disease. Believe it or not, an estimated 80 percent of American adults currently have some form of gum disease. Studies have shown a correlation between gum disease and heart disease, underscoring the importance of good oral health care. Our staff at Chris Nikolovski, DDS will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure that your teeth stay clean and healthy while you're undergoing orthodontic treatment.
If it has been more than six months since your last visit to our Hinsdale or Chicago office, please give us a call!

Thanks for the question. At Chris Nikolovski, DDS, we believe a child's first visit to the dentist should be enjoyable. Children are not born with a natural fear of the dentist, but they can fear the unknown.
Our Chicago & Hinsdale offices make a special effort to use pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe each treatment. Dr. Nikolovski wants you and your child to feel at ease from the moment your family arrives at our office. The more you and your child know about the first visit, the better you will feel.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that kids visit the dentist by their first birthday. It is important that your child's newly-erupted teeth (erupting at 6-12 months of age) receive proper dental care and benefit from proper oral hygiene habits right from the beginning.
Your child's first visit with Dr. Nikolovski includes:
* A review of your complete dental and medical history forms.
* Complete X-rays of your teeth and mouth.
* An oral exam - Dr. Nikolovski will clean and polish your teeth, make sure your teeth and gums are healthy, and check for any cavities or early signs of tooth decay.
Contact our Chicago dental office or our Hinsdale dental office to schedule your complimentary consultation today! Dr. Nikolovski looks forward to working with you and your child.

The fact is, most of us aren’t born with a red carpet smile. And that’s where our team at Chris Nikolovski, DDS can help. Of course, orthodontic treatment help make your teeth stay strong, healthy and become perfectly-aligned. But did you know you can get the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted — without braces?
Dr. Nikolovski & team are proud to offer an adult-friendly option for straightening teeth called Invisalign, which uses a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time at our Chicago or Hinsdale office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
If you’ve been thinking about getting that perfect smile, we would love to have you visit for a consultation. Please give us a call to set one up! A complimentary consultation with Dr. Nikolovski can determine if Invisalign is right for you. See you soon!
